Shannon Bassett, USF Assistant Professor of Architecture & Urban Design, talks about [re]stitch Tampa (www.restitchtampa.org), an international design ideas competition starting in August. The competition, funded in part by a National Endowment for the Arts grant, is aimed at tying downtown Tampa to the Hillsborough Riverfront.

Tampa's landscape could change near river
In September, the "Restitch Tampa" urban design competition will kick off with a goal of making the change happen. The competition being put on by USF seeks to rekindle the relationship with Tampa and the Hillsborough River. Design teams will compete for a chance to change the landscape of the area.
